Religious Education

Beginning Sunday, November 4th 2018 and continuing on the first Sunday of the month we are transitioning to a once a month Sunday School program. We understand that life on the weekends is becoming more and more busy. With sports, rest and responsibilities its difficult to commit to a weekly educational program for children. We have noticed through the years the Sunday school attendance dropping little by little. So, we are trying something new. Our hope and our plan is to return to weekly Sunday School for all ages.

First Sunday of the month 9AM-10AMĀ

PreK-2nd Grade takes place in our fellowship hall. Children learn some of the fundamental stories of the Old and New Testament while incorporating activities, snacks and hands on learning.

3rd-5th Grade takes place in our fellowship hall. Children in this class continue to learn some of the basics of our Christian faith. While incorporating the stories of scripture they also begin to learn the ten commandments, prayers, bible passages and what it means to be a Lutheran-Christian in every day life.

Confirmation 6th-8th Grade takes place in our outdoor classroom accessible through the fellowship hall. Here is where we begin to learn and apply key elements of both the Old and New Testaments, Lutheran Small Catechism, Lutheran History and Lutheran Living. Confirmation, in addition to once a month requires further commitment on behalf of the student, parent and congregation.

Adult Sunday School– Adult Sunday School is held weekly in the outdoor classroom accessible through the fellowship hall. Here adults gather to discuss scripture, current events, faith based themes and where we find God in the midst of daily life.
